1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, such as account and business contact details, USDOT or MC number, fleet and equipment details, lanes, markets, capacity, freight preferences, operational constraints, outreach notes, opportunity decisions, and documents you choose to upload.

We also collect service-use information, including pages and features used, device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, timestamps, referring pages, diagnostic data, subscription status, and interactions with emails or product communications.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate and secure LaneFoundry; verify carriers; build lane profiles; discover, score, and qualify opportunities; resolve buyer paths; personalize results; support outreach and account tracking; process billing; provide support; prevent abuse; measure and improve the product; communicate with you; and comply with law.

3. Research and model-assisted processing

LaneFoundry may combine carrier-provided information with public and licensed third-party data. Automated systems and AI models may help extract, summarize, classify, and qualify supplied evidence. We do not store hidden chain-of-thought. Model outputs are treated as grounded interpretations, not proof of freight availability or exact lane demand.

4. How we share information

We may share information with service providers that support hosting, authentication, payments, analytics, email, enrichment, company research, error monitoring, and AI processing. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not provide one carrier's confidential uploaded documents to unrelated carriers as prospect evidence.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

LaneFoundry and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the service, understand usage, measure performance, and improve the product. Some technologies are essential; others support analytics or communications.

You can control cookies through your browser. Blocking or clearing them may affect sign-in, saved preferences, analytics, or other features. We may update our consent controls as the service and applicable requirements evolve.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention varies by data type, account status, and operational need.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, lost, altered, or disclosed without authorization.

8. Your choices and rights

You may update certain account information, manage communications, cancel a subscription, or request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required or permitted by law.

9. Third-party links

The service may link to shipper sites, public sources, payment pages, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Policy.

10. Children's privacy

LaneFoundry is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy by posting a revised version and changing the effective date. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to hello@lanefoundry.com.
